Making New Friends

What fun it was making new friends in Manitou Springs, Colorado when I went for the Retreat Coach Training. Every single coach there was amazing and interesting. I am pictured here with Deb who is on the left. We had taken a teleclass (telephone class) together and had spoken on the phone a few times, talking about our retreats but this was the first time that we had seen each other in person. As soon as I met Deb I felt like I had known her forever. Funny how things like that happen! We both enjoyed the adventures of the retreat. Some of the things we did included massage, watsu, (which I found an extraordinary adventure that I will post about later) mountain hiking, good food, journaling exercises, soaking in hot springs as well as pools and much more. It felt like such a wonderful gift that I gave to myself, to stand in the company of such powerful and loving women. I forget from time to time how much I need other women in my life. I get so busy with my family and work that the days go swiftly by and I need to stay mindful of my needs, as well as the needs others. So Manitou was a wonderful reminder of how I can nurture my self . To Retreat is not frivolous but truly essential! When I return I always have so much more of me to give to others which in turn makes it a win win situation!
Deb is from Connecticut and she is the ice skating coach who just sparkles! I am from Central New York and I am the coach who has a soft spot for horses and the outdoors!
Deb and I have some amazing retreats planned so check out our info often!
